Ever wondered what it's like to be a Brisbane Newborn Photographer? Cuddling gorgeous babies all day and visiting gorgeous locations with really fun clients. It really is the greatest job, I have been running my photography business for 8 years now and I still love it so much! Nothing makes me happier than showing my clients the edited images from their session and hearing how much they adore them and how happy they are. It's such a beautiful feeling when you create a piece of art that someone values so much.

When I'm setting up the studio for a newborn session I like to create a mood board first with the colours, textures and props so I can create a cohesive look for the gallery. I like my images to flow throughout a gallery so that If my clients were to print all of their photos and display them in a large masterpiece all of the colours compliment each other.

What If we want to use certain colours or props in our session?

I always get my clients feedback on the colours and props I plan to use, and I welcome their suggestions as I want them to love their photos and be proud to display them in their home. I have a large range of props in the studio my clients are welcome to look through and find things they love that we can incorporate into the shoot.

Shooting Outdoors - Brisbane Family Photographer

Being a Brisbane family photographer I'm always scoping out new locations. To pick a new spot takes careful planning, I need to visit during sunset to see how the light falls through the trees. How accessible the area will be for clients and how busy it is on weekends as I predominately shoot my family sessions on a weekend. I also need to know that the position of the sun all year long is going to be suitable as the sunsets in different positions depending on the season.

In the hour leading up to the sunset its dramatically changing the lighting and mood as it descends. So the same location can look vastly different depending on the time of day. Clients outfits can also influence an image to look dark and moody or light and airy.

So when you book a family photography session with me you can rest assured that I have the best locations available that I know will suit perfectly any time of year. I also provide you with a welcome pack that includes styling tips for the whole family, how to prepare before you leave home and what to expect at your session.

Baby Photographer Brisbane - Lucas

The Gilmour family were one of the first families I photographed when I started my photography business. Blake, their eldest boy was one of the first newborns I photographed and I have had the honour of capturing all of their precious memories over the past 7 years. When they told me they were expecting their third baby and he was due just before I had my third baby too I was so glad I could still capture their newborn portraits.

Well fast forward and Lucas their gorgeous, happy boy is 8 months and just the sweetest guy ever! He can clap and wave, has the most infectious smile and just such a happy baby.

Look at these boys!! Blake and Hayden are the best big brothers they are so loving and the way Lucas looks at them you can tell they will be best mates forever.
